Jay Kreider
Jay began playing music in elementary school. First piano, and then viola (which his parents had to force him to practice). When he found the guitar and banjo, his parents had to tell him to stop practicing.
He studied with Ken Gehret in the 80s. He has enjoyed jamming with various groups over the years.
Several memorable performances include Godfrey Daniels, Mount Hope Winery Renaissance Faire, and Musikfest. Recordings include a WGAL TV promo spot, a banjo track on a friend’s CD (Autumn Calling, now on iTunes).
Guitar influences include Norman Blake, Dan Crary, Doc & Merle Watson, Brian Sutton, and Tony Rice.
