The
Maidencreek Old-time Music Festival
was held Sunday, July 9, 2023
Unfortunately , as many know, we were devastated by significant, severe storms and flooding having to end the festival early for the safety of all.

The grounds of Maier's Grove, operated by the Blandon Lion's Club, was completely destroyed and will need a great deal of work to repair all te damage to property and the buildings.

From Facebook:
"The Blandon Lions club will be starting the rebuilding process on Saturday July 15 at 9am at Maier's Grove (106 Grove Road Blandon PA) If you want to help in any way, please come and join us. (Equipment and manpower are needed) Let's turn this disaster into a great event and bring our community together now and in the future. Even with this disaster the Blandon Lions Club is still here to help anyone in need just let us know and the Lions will be there. Stay safe."

MAIER'S GROVE, HOME TO THE MAIDENCREEK OLD TIME MUSIC FESTIVAL, WAS DEVASTATED BY THE TORRENTIAL RAINS ON JULY 9.

Maier's Grove, owned by the Blandon Lions Club, is the site of the annual Maidencreek Old Time Music Festival. This year's fest, held on July 9, was underway during the rainstorm that flooded so many in the area. The Grove was devastated. The Lions Club needs community support. You can help with monetary donations to put the pavilions, stage, kitchen, restrooms, and road back in order, you can contact the Lions Club (contact info at https://e-clubhouse.org/sites/blandon/contact.php), or to make it easy, Meadowood Music has created this GoFundMe drive so that you can easily get your tax-deductible donations to the Lions Club.
The Lions Club rents out this grove to generate much-needed funds for their important work. This is a place where families hold their reunions, companies hold their picnics, and the Maiderncreek Fest holds its workshops and concerts. Until the grove is restored, no one can have events here, and the Lions will generate no revenue.
Please help however you can.

The Maidencreek Old-time Music Festival is a unique event to teach old-time music to musicians who play (or would like to begin) fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer and other instruments traditional to the music. Unlike other local or regional events, the festival emphasizes hands-on learning in the person-to-person way in which these tunes and songs were originally shared.

The Maidencreek Old time Music Festival is a full day, packed with workshops, concerts, and master classes.
