Corey Husic has been steeped in the old-time tradition for his entire life, attending jams and festivals for as long as he can remember. Over the years, he has been heavily influenced by old-time, Celtic, and New England fiddle genres.

 

On the banjo, he incorporates clawhammer, two-finger, and up-picking techniques into his melodic style. Corey is a chemistry professor by day, and his love of teaching certainly spills over into old-time music!

Corey recorded a self-produced album of fiddle and banjo tunes entitled Cottage Tunes. This album is available on Bandcamp.
